Welcome
On behalf of the International Skeletal Society (ISS), we would like to welcome you to its 34th Annual Meeting in Budapest. Located on both riversides, Budapest is known as the 'pearl of Danube'. You will find Budapest a unique and dynamic European city, famous for its historical heritage, architectural grandeur, art collections, numerous thermal spas, exquisite cuisine, and rich folklore.
The charming hills of Buda with the Royal Palace and the Castle Hill, the waterfronts of the majestic Danube, the flowery Margaret Island, the traditional city centre on the plains of Pest together with the historic bridges, offer an unsurpassable location for the meeting and will make your stay a memorable one. The meeting will take place at the Intercontinental Hotel, which is located in the heart of the city's cultural and shopping centre and boasts a beautiful view of the river Danube.
The meeting will be accompanied with an exciting social programme. The Chairman's Choice Dinner will offer the best of Hungarian cuisine on board the ship Europe. Cruising on the beautiful Danube with a view of both riversides you will enjoy Hungarian folk music and dance. Every effort has been made to ensure that your stay is a pleasurable one, with a number of further tours available at www.ryalsmeet.com.
The programme for the 34th Annual Refresher Course on Radiological Diagnosis and Management of Musculoskeletal Disorders has been finalised, with the details available at our meeting website www.internationalskeletalsociety.com. The ISS meeting is internationally renowned for its high levels of academic and educational content and I am grateful to the RefresherCourse Committee for assisting me in producing such an exciting three-and-a-half day programme. The course features world known authorities in the field and provides you with the opportunity of communicating with them. In addition to a comprehensive refresher course, we will also have six Special Focus sessions to provide an in-depth integrated approach to chosen subjects. There will be a live ultrasonography demonstration and two days of small-group hands-on ultrasonography workshops for preregistered participants.
We look forward to welcoming you to Budapest. Yours sincerely,
Vladimir Jevtic Chairman of the ISS Refresher Course 2007
